We usually purchase them from a major 3rd party company and setup an account to manage your domain names in your name. This ensures you always have total control over your purchases.

Fee's are simply the standard prices found across the Internet and we don't charge anything to handle the purchase for you when you choose to host, or have a site developed by us.
